CDTPy | Python for Scientists

Module Summary

The aim of this mini module is to introduce you to the Python programme language and at the same time bypass a lot of the boring semantics associated with learning any new language. Remember, you're scientists not hardcore programmers! Python is a tool for you to get stuff done quickly and you shouldn't worry too much about generating beautiful, well commented code. Rough and ready will do.

The module is made up of short, self-contained exercises, or missions, that have several distinct objectives. Each mission is based on a real life requirement that I have encountered during my own research and should be of relevance to many of you.
