Winton Advanced Research Fellow, Optoelectronics, Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge. He investigates how material structure controls the properties of electronic states in semiconductors on ultrafast timescales. His current focus is on the origin of high luminescent yields in thin film and nanostructure materials, and how these enable efficient optoelectronics. Current research relevant to CDT-PV is on organic photovoltaics and perovskite cells.
